Well, I only looked at 3 stores, but these 3 stores have a reputaion for low prices in our area:
Market Basket
Walmart
BJ's Wholsale Club
The best way to compare prices - because they all sell diapers in different size packages - is by the unit price. I used various sizes just for comparison sake. Here's the Run-down...
Huggies Snug & Dry - size 2
Market Basket: unavailable
Walmart: Unit price $19.77 (Retail price $19.77f or 100ct)
BJ's: Unit price $14.39 (Retail price $37.99 for 264ct)
Luvs size 2
Market Basket: didn't have size 2 when I went)
Walmart: Unit price $16.64 (Retail price $15.97 for 96ct)
BJ's: Unit price $13.15 (Retail price $29.99 for 228ct)
Pampers Cruisers size 3
Market Basket: Unit price $31.23 (Retail price $19.99 for 64ct)
Walmart: Unit price $26.01 (Retail price $19.77 or 76ct)
BJ's: Unit price $24.68 (Retail price $39.49 for 160ct)
Looks to me like BJ's is the clear winner overall. Not only do they have the lowest unit price, but they also offer their own coupons IN ADDITION TO the manufacturer coupons! Sometimes I save $4 with a BJ's coupon and add a $2 manufacturer coupon to that! Both Market Basket and Walmart will take manufacturer coupons only. If you shop somewhere else for diapers I'd love to hear where and what the unit price is! Feel free to comment on my post.
