NOW is a great time to buy winter clothes for next year, especially for kids! Most stores have winter clothes on clearance to make room for the spring items coming out. After all, Easter is early this year (April 8th). Go online or to your favorite store now and see what great deals you can find - and don't forget to bring your coupons!
One shopper told me she found some incredible markdowns at Kohl's yesterday, and paired it with a coupon she had that was going to expire at the end of this week. I know she made out with some free items.
I personally went online to see if I could find snowsuits (bib snow pants and jacket) for my 2 kids for next year. After looking at Walmart.com, Target.com, Kohls.com, and finally jcp.com (JC Penney), my search ended.
I got 2 Arizona snowsuits for the kids (one for each child) using a coupon code I found (12JANAPP), which gave me 15% off and free shipping, and buying a $51.49 electronic JC Penney gift card for only $42.73 (another 17% savings). I ultimately paid $42.23 for both suits (about $21.12 each), and each snowsuit comes with bib snow pants and a matching snow jacket. That's a great price! Why buy used (which is what we usually do) if you can buy new at this price?!? Let me break it down so you can see how I got there:
