I went to the service desk at my local grocery store to buy a Powerball (NH Lottery) ticket. She informed me that starting Sunday, the price will be $2 per play (vs. the current $1). I guess I was in the dark about the price doubling - and so soon! Well, I guess my chances of winning just got slimmer, since I don't know that I'll be "wasting" $4 week (that's $208 a year) on a game I never win.
